Community Living Manitoulin is always looking for dedicated staff with a passion for working with adult individuals with developmental disabilities.
There are casual or part-time employment opportunities available at Community Living Manitoulin within one of our many programs. Our team of dedicated staff play a vital role in inspiring possibilities and creating an environment that fosters meaningful living for all of the individuals that we support.

Duties and Responsibilities
Part-time/Casual
-
Supervise and monitor individuals in service to ensure their maximum care and safety
-
Dispense medication as per prescribed method and document per procedure
-
Supervise and direct individuals in service with hygiene routines (bathing, personal care, brief changes, etc)
-
Support individuals in service with preparations of meals/snacks
-
Perform household cleaning duties (laundry, sweeping, mopping, etc)
-
Ensure the house is left clean and all assigned work is completed prior to leaving shift

Share in the responsibility of teaching and guiding individuals in service in their daily routines

Teach and guide each individual in service through the tasks and routines of daily living

Act as an advocate, confident, and advisor to the individuals in service

Maintain daily log, communication book, and reports in a professional, accurate, and concise manner.

Participate fully and constructively in staff meeting and in-service training

Follow directives for all tasks and responsibilities from the Primary Counsellor

Perform all other duties as required by the Primary Counsellor and Program Manager

Due to the level of care and the level of supervision required the part-time staff may be scheduled a sleep night shift where they will be allowed to sleep certain hours of their scheduled shift.

Ensure that those individuals who attend Community Participations are off to their program by 8:30am
Benefits (Part-time only)
After completion of probationary period (900 hours);

Employees are entitled to health care benefits for themselves and immediate family
-
Employees accumulate sick time credits of .5 days per month to an annual maximum of 15 days
-
Community Living Manitoulin contributes 5.5% of gross wages, and the employee contributes 5%, to a multi sector pension plan.
